ZHEESHEE team decided to take part in International Moscow Festival ‘’CIRCLE OF LIGHTS’’. On the Bolshoi’s theatre façade we wanted to show something dear to our hearts and well-known from school time. The choice fell on the great novel of Nikolai Gogol – “Dead Souls”.
idea
We took key characters from the novel and created bright scenes, using unexpected images and metaphors.
We all know the sad fate of second volume of “Dead Souls”. Part of a show with a “ burning “ Theatre is dedicated to this meaningful act.
Voice-over belongs to Merited Artist of Russia Igor Zolotovitsky.
realization
Having reread Gogol’s masterpiece and inspired by iconic illustrations of the “Dead souls”, we tried to spice every content scene up. Carefully translated it into “mapping” language.
